In my last blog I shared some photos of my Christmas in July makes. Well, these new Christmas items are all uploaded to the shop now so I thought I would share some of these in detail for today's blog.

Mischievous Dogs and Cats

These are all made with stamps from Aall and Create, a craft manufacturer and supplier based in London, UK, who are one of my favourite stamp designers. I adore these characters and can not stop making with them, Christmas or otherwise. They are so cute and playful. I actually made this card design for last Christmas but only used the cats. This year I decided to see if there were any dogs in the set that would be suitable and added some more cats into the design. I also created another design with larger images next to some presents. If you look closely you will see a little kitten hiding among the presents! Some of the cards come with matching gift tags.

  • Three Christmas cards featuring kittens playing on a fallen Christmas tree on top of presents

Black & White Cat, Cats In A Tree and Twas The Night Before Christmas

Next up we have two other cat themed Christmas cards (I have quite a few cat and dog stamps!) and a well known Christmas verse. These images come from a range of Inkylicious stamps, another favourite stamp designer based in the UK. These are very good quality stamps with wonderful designs that are so easy to work with. The Black & White Cat and the Twas The Night Before Christmas designs comes with matching gift tags and decorated envelopes.

  • Christmas card featuring a black & white cat wearing a Christmas hat tilting its head.
  • Christmas card featuring two cats sitting on a branch watching Father Christmas and reindeer flying by in the night sky.
  • Christmas card featuring white glitter embossed Twas The Night Before Christmas verse and fir pines against a dark blue night sky.

Vintage Christmas

In this design, I used products from Arden Creative Studio by one of my favourite designers, Katie Pertiet. If you love vintage botanical or vintage grunge you will love Katie's designs. Everything I used for these cards came from the Christmas Cheer collection which was released this July. These are all unique, one of a kind cards which I wouldn't be able to reproduce exactly although I still have quite a bit of the collection left so may make some more in this style later in the year. I also decorated the envelopes to match the cards.

  • Three Christmas cards featuring a vintage style mixed media background with botanical elements and a Father Christmas 3D cut out.
  • Two Christmas cards featuring vintage style mixed media background with a deer and sleigh or a Christmas wreath on the front.

Notebooks and Notepads

I also made some notebooks and notepads with a festive theme. I made a couple of reporter style wirebound A5 notebooks using the Christmas Cheer patterned papers. These have 70 sheets of 80gsm plain paper. The notepads are also covered using the Christmas Cheer papers and have 50 sheets of 70gsm plain paper.

  • Two top wirebound notebooks with festive angel image and Father Christmas image on the cover.
  • Four small notepads with festive designs of trees, robins and holly on the front.

So, that's the first release of Christmas products for this year. I love these designs and have kept some back for myself to use but I am happy to make more where I can if they prove popular. I am hoping to design some more items from new & different products in time for release in October as well but need to find the time to make them!

Over the past few weeks I have also made a few tweaks to the website and, I hope, improved the filters for the shop to make it easier to browse exactly what you want so please do take a look around. I am always open to feedback though so let me know if you have any suggestions!

Anyway, that's all for this week's blog. It's due to get hot again over the next few days so I have stocked up on ice cream and will be keeping cool indoors most of the time!

🤗💙
