So this week I have added some new items to my shop, those being some notebooks, notepads, birthday cards and a keyring in a new colour.
The Notebooks
First up are the notebooks, handmade from start to finish. I created the covers from my PaperArtsy stamps designed by Alison Bomber, beautiful rose and hydrangea images which I stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured with watercolours. There will be a full YouTube demo video for these up in the near future.

I prepared the cover images with two layers of Dorlands Wax Medium before giving them a final buff and shine. This should give the watercolours some protection from liquids and dirt while providing a wipe clean surface. I then prepared the hardback covers by cutting 1500micron greyboard to A5 size. I covered these with cream paper for the outside and pearlised paper on the inside. I prepared 120gsm white copy paper by cutting all the papers to A5 size before punching the holes in everything and assembling with my We R Memory Keepers Cinch machine. As I had used plain paper, I printed out a writing guide which I laminated. Finally, I trimmed the cover images to size and glued to the covers.

The Notepads
For these I picked out some previously created backgrounds and scanned them into my computer.

I used these to create suitable notepad layouts, with some lined and some plain. I then printed out enough copies to make up into two of each design with 50 tear-off sheets on each pad. The next stage was to cut all the respective copies into A6 and A5 sizes and finally glue together with a backing sheet. I am not sure yet if preference is for lined or plain in the different sizes but I will remake and restock whichever proves most popular.

The Birthday Cards
First up is the birthday card featuring Miss Dee, a character created and designed by Janet Klein for Aall and Create. She has a dry sense of humour and is right up my street! There is a YouTube demo video already up for this card if you would like to see how it was made.

The other birthday cards added were made using beautiful cosmos flower stamps designed by Alison Bomber for PaperArtsy. There will be a blog post on how I made these at some point in the future so look out for that if you want to know how they were made.

The Keyring
The final item to be uploaded to the shop was a repeat design in a new colour using the two dachshunds with a yellow background. These were a special request and there are only two of them at the moment.

Anyway, that's all for this week's blog. I hope you like the items added. You can visit the shop via the button below.
