This little corner of the internet is where I’ll be sharing my love of papercrafting, handmade designs, and the joy of creating something unique by hand. Whether you’ve found me through social media or discovered my shop for the first time, thank you for taking the time to visit.

How it all started

I came to crafting fairly late in life. I wasn't particularly creative either as a child or a young adult. However, in my early forties I decided to start making my own Christmas cards and from there my journey in papercrafting began. There’s something incredibly satisfying about starting with a blank piece of card or paper and gradually building it into something beautiful and personal.

From the start, I was drawn to texture, layers, and details — especially designs with a slightly vintage feel. I love adding playful or quirky touches, whether that’s through character stamps, unexpected colour combinations, or mixed media elements.

For me, crafting isn’t just about making something that looks good — it’s about the process, the experimentation, and those moments when everything comes together just right.

What I create

At handmade by Jules, I create a range of handmade paper crafts, including:

• Greeting cards

• Bookmarks

• Gift sets

• Notebooks and notepads

• Keyrings

• Memory tags

• Memory albums

Each item is made by hand using carefully chosen materials, from quality cardstock to inks, paints, and stamps from some of my favourite craft suppliers. Because everything is handmade, no two pieces are ever exactly the same — and that’s part of what makes them special. I also offer a small amount of personalisation where possible, such as adding sentiments to cards, messages inside cards or tailoring details to suit a particular occasion. Or there is full customisation with the Memory tags, which are 8" x 4" and designed to customer's particular styles and/or colours.

Why handmade matters

In a world where so much is mass-produced, I think there’s something really meaningful about giving or receiving something handmade.

Every item I create takes time, attention, and care — and I hope that comes through in the finished piece. Whether it’s a card for a special occasion or a small handmade gift, my aim is to create something that feels thoughtful, personal, and a little bit different.
